Yes indeed and Pack and Play is the brand to go with for that.  I got mine
for as low as $70 which is cheap considering the fact that we're still using
it.

I would suggest getting a playpen that has a cradle attachment.   This 
became a life saver for us because it has became my daughter's everyday bed
due to space limitations.  It is also great because it is portable and many
come with two wheels on one end so it can be easily moved from room to room.
