[blparent] Pregnancy and food sensitivity

Good to know I'm not the only odd duck while pregnant. While I certainly
can enjoy my sweets, I prefer salty treats over sweet even before
pregnant, and I'm finding myself craving healthier choices over other
choices most days. I do notice I feel hungrier at night so I've been
incorporating small snacks before bedtime, which is also helping with
nausea since I feel "morning sickness" more so at night than any other
time.

My newest frustration has been clothing, grin. I'm at that stage where
others can't visually tell just yet I'm pregnant, but I certainly notice
the changes happening. Within the last couple of weeks, most of my pants
and bottoms feel tight around my waist, but most maternity clothes are
still a bit big that I've tried. I've been using a belly band so it goes
around my waist and stomach so I can leave my pants unbuttoned, but it's
so frustrating to need new clothes, ha-ha! I'm also trying to conserve
funds for maternity clothes until the warmer months as there's no way
I'm fitting into any of my summer clothes. Good-bye size fours for a
long, long, long time, LOL!

Sincerely,
Bridgit Kuenning-Pollpeter

Hi Bridgit, I craved fruits, vegetables, and oatmeal when I was
pregnant. I also craved tofu dipped in chocolate sauce! The hunger will
probably pick up for you in a few weeks. I actually was hungriest during
the second trimester and the first pat of the third. There were a few
days when I just couldn't get full.

Best,

Angie
