You also could check with your church because ours had a wonderful program
provided frozen premade healthy meals to families who needed them in
situations like having a new baby, having surgery or going through financial
hardships.  It was a life safer for the first week or so after our son came
home from the hospital especially since I had an surprise C-Section.

Just my two cents. Plenty of easy to prepare and eat nutritious food for
Mom. Stock up on any essential needs products for Mom and family to last a
week or two. 
I couldn't believe how happy, hungry and completely wiped out my husband and
I were when my first baby was born!!! LOL Happy shopping, Eileen
