[blparent] Feeding question

Hi Sabrina,
I had very similar questions when we started our son, Alex, on solids. At
six months of age, your daughter is still mostly tasting textures and
flavors so don't worry about the mess. Have you tried feeding her in
different positions? At six months, my favorite position was to put Alex on
my lap and feed him that way. I had a lot more control of where his mouth
and face were and he was closer to me than he was in the high chair. Now, as
he is almost 12 months, the high chair is a must because he wants to feed
himself. But at the beginning, the lap feedings were all I could do. You
could also try standing behind the high chair although this didn't realy
work for me as well.

Once your child can handle thicker foods it does get easier.
Good luck!
Ronit

Subject: [blparent] Feeding question

Hi all,
So we recently started Cheyenne on solids. She does well but sometimes she
ends up with more food on her bib than we would like lol.
Anyome have any suggestions if we aren't fast enough with the food to her
mouth she cries. Obviously we can't be as fast as someone sighted.
Take care,
Sabrina
