[blparent] powdered formula

I've never heard keeping breast milk in the fridge up to 8 days, but I had a
lactation nurse say that instead of trying to remember a million numbers
just remember 5 5 5. Five days in the fridge, 5 hours out on the counter to
thaw out after being frozen and 5 months in the freezer to store. This is
an easy thing to remember that will guarantee safe milk. I'd rather toss
something a little early to be safe than go a little too long with it and
take the chance of making baby sick.

I have even seen some guidelines for breast milk storage (including what
came with my pump) saying it can be kept in the fridge for up to
8 days.
