[blparent] an update

We all come from different frameworks and we make our decisions based on
what we believe is best. What we have in common is the desire to be the
best parents we can be. We need to respect each other's choices, even when
they seem wildly different from the choices we might make ourselves.

I'm all for being coshis of what you give your kids, but, to rool out meds
because it acts like a drug doesn't make much sence. If some one told me I
could give my kid a herb or med to help her sleep, think, feel alert, and so
on I wouldn't deniy my kid the meds or herbs. Holistic medicin is good but
when it doesn't do the job which happens at times, there's nothing wrong
with Tylenol. I would rather have my kid living and happy rather then
messed up in the head because I keep my head in the sand. As a parent its
my job to deside what is best but when my kid gets older she will ask why I
did what I did and she will tell me if she felt it was the best thing to do.
So yes, we all make our choices, but if our kids stop talking with us thats
their choice.

Kate

hey Gabe,
What I understand, drugs like methylphenyldate, etc, are literally
methamphetamines. how in the name of $deity they're allowed for use on
children is eyond me but somehow they are.
Weed? I doubt. Coke? Not too likely. But meth, oh ye. Go read the monographs
on medlineplus for adderol, methyylfphenyldate, etc.

dude serious? Coke and Weed in these mental pills? Sign me up! lol! :-) No,
seriously. What are you talking about. since I am not one to dismiss your
claim all I ask is that you give me a link or two to read about this new
finding. its hard to understand that if Coke and Weed are illegal in smoking
or powder/packed forms how they would then permit it in drugs for use in our
children?
