[blparent] Healthy foods

I've learned that you really have to pay attention to the labels and not the
advertisements. Also, I try to stay away from processed foods and make
things from scratched. For instance homemade mac and cheese may contain the
fat and such that kraft or velveta do, but it's healthier for you because it
doesn't have added preservatives and sodium. You can also do things like use
whole wheat pasta flour and bread. Try to pair lean protein with fiber.
If something advertises that it is all natural, super healthy for you and
the likes, chances are that it really isn't.
I've noticed that the raisins in cereal have a bit of a sugar coating to
them.
I've really started paying attention and trying to make small healthy
changes in my house. So if I can help in any way Jo Elizabeth, feel free to
let me know. :)
