Just as our blindness effects our parenting, our house choosing is
also effected by our blindness and of course, parenting also effects
the house buying process because each needs to be taken into
consideration when purchasing a house.
I am sorry that you don't find this topic related to list.
However, I do make every attempt to have appropriate subject lines so
that you won't have to read any messages that you feel off topic.
I really appreciate everyone's assistance and information. This
certainly is lots to think about and I am glad that I posted my
questions here,
even if they have annoyed some of the listers.

I called our pub trans and asked if a particular busline was close
and in walking distance to a house. they said that it was.
but, when I got there, I realized that although it was quite doable
for sighted people, I would have a bit more trouble with baby in toe.
There were no sidewalks and the busy street (after getting out of
the complex) has a very small shoulder to walk down. The crossing did
not have a light, either.
Thus, my blindness and child would be both effected by my decision to
buy that house.

Again, thanks to the wonderful knowledgeable parents of this list! You
have helped tremendously.
Jan
