Hello my husband and I are both totally blind and a cloose  friend talked to me about visual eye contact. She told me to act as though I could see him by keeping my face turned to him when I held him or played with him. It seemed to work because when he became a toddler if he thought I wasn't paying close enough attention he would come over and take my face in his hands aand point me toward him.
