[blparent] advice for flying on planes with kids

Both my niece and nephew had to have them out along with tubes in their
ears. My nephew wasn't talking at all and was also large for his age. When
they came out the congestion went away, he started sleeping through the
night, and the words started flooding. My niece was in the doctors
constantly, also didn't sleep, it is easier to remember when she wasn't
congested because it was so little when she was clear. Another boy I know
almost had failure to thrive on his chart, and out came the adenoids and he
was a whole new toddler. Really it is worth it, and if it doesn't help he
really hasn't lost anything major. Good look!

Yes, I'm just so thankful and blessed that I have a pediatrician for my son
now who caught this early so it didn't torture him for too long.  He's 95%
for height and 75% for wait so it obviously hasn't gotten bad enough to
affect him in any of those ways thankfully.  I know for some kids who have
to go years with problematic adenoids, they can often deal with major pain
when eating and lots and lots of ear infections.

I guess it depends on the kid.  My cousin's little girl had hers out, and it
was the best thing her parents ever did for her.  She's breathing better,
eating better, and finally catching up to her peers on the growth charts.
