Corn syrup, really, no wonder my bubbles never worked well.

There are also bubble machines for between 10 and 20 dollars that blow even
more bubbles. Tons of fun! Incidentally, here's a recipe for making good
bubble blowing solution at home.

1 cup water
1/2 cup dish soap
1/4 cup corn syrup
Happy blowing.

Hi Jo Elizabeth,
I wondered about this same thing and then realized you can buy bubble
blowing "guns" that will blow the bubbles for you. I got one from amazon for
10 dollars and you just dip the thing in a little tub of bubbles, lift it
out, turn it on and walla, you have bubbles. IT's super easy and no need to
blow them yourself. It makes great bubbles too, Alex loves them. It does
make a mess though so I always do it outside.
HTH,
Ronit

Since it's spring now, and hot outside, Sarah is really interested in
bubbles. Does anyone have tips on blowing them successfully? It seems like
I get more bubble soap on my face and fingers than I manage to blow, and
Sarah gets exasperated. I take it you have to blow in exactly the right
place.
