Hello all,

So I have to share this really funny story with you guys. My 19 month old
son Dawson has been really good at verbalizing to the best of his ability
what he's interested in or wants to do. So, every day we take a few walks
through our large gated community and since he is nuts about owls, we walk
over to a neighbor's door who has a door mat outside their front door that
has owls on it for my son to admire. This has been a routine now for a few
weeks and it's really cute, especially since he checks out all the other
door mats just to see if they might also have owls on them, while he calls
out, "owls, owls, owls?". So, when my husband got home last night we
decided to walk to the mall several blocks away to get some DQ as a treat.
Dawson was taking turns holding my hand and my husband's when suddenly he
froze and started yelling "owls, owls, owls!" Dawson began pulling us
excitedly toward a parking lot. My husband began laughing hysterically
while gently bringing Dawson back on track on the sidewalk. I asked my
husband what owls he saw and when my husband finally caught his breath from
laughing, he explained that Dawson saw the sign for Hooters restaurant and
that's why he was getting so excited. Since Dawson says, "nay nay" when he
wants to nurse, I laughed and said that Dawson would have the best of both
worlds there having his owls and "nay nay"! LOL
