[blparent] teen laundry

I have an update on the laundry saga I was planning to send today anyway. On
Wednesday evening I asked for all of his dirty laundry again so I could do
the laundry on Thursday. He brought some down and I started it. His father
and I have agreed to go into his room every other week or so and do a clean
up and it worked out we could do that late Thursday morning and even more
laundry was found. I did not say anything about how some of these clothes
had never been worn and were only dirty because he had thrown them on the
ground. *sigh* I did give him one calm reminder that his laundry was
finished and that I expected him to get it all put away in the mid
afternoon. After that I bit my tongue about the subject. Early this morning
I went into the laundry room and moved all of his laundry to a locked
storage closet. So far he has not even asked about it. I am not saying
anything until Wednesday evening when I will ask for his dirty laundry
again. It should be interesting to see how long he holds out. :)

Sorry; I didn't see that message until just now. As you can probably
tell, it's been a while since I've read email. At what age do you guys
think is appropriate for kids to start doing their own laundry?
