Somebody needs to invent an Ipod type device with apps but with no connectivity to the outside world. I'd get that for my daughter. It needs to look and feel like mine or she won't want it.

Subject: [blparent] Iphone parental restrictions

Hello

I have put off setting up a pass word for my Iphone because that really cuts
into the convenience factor for me. I still want to be able to let my kids
do some of the educational aps or play some games when we are waiting around
somewhere though without them getting on utube and watching mincraft videos.
I am seriously starting to hate minecraft by the way. :-)

I thought I would check in here and find out if anyone has any trouble with
setting the restrictions and using voice over. Any s suggestions for fun
educational aps for the k to 3 grades will also be appreciated. My 13 year
old is wise enough to figure out on his own that I am more likely to say yes
to a request to use the astrology or various chess aps than to other things
and we get along much better over the iphone subject.

I am also planning to get my youngest either an i-pod touch or an ipad for
some of the communications aps available so I better figure out how to
control what else is going on before I do that.

Jennifer
