[blparent] Cloth Diapers Anyone?

Oh, I never intended to argue with you. What works for one family doesn't
work as well for someone else. For me, the deciding factor was that between
raising my daughter and working from home as a braille proofreader, I just
didn't think I could spend the time doing laundry that cloth diapers would
require. Fortunately, my daughter never reacted badly to disposable diapers
the way some babies do.

kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at
evening.--Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.

As far as the laundry soap goes, we used the large tubs of Kirkland
laundry detergent for awhile. We have started making our own detergent,
and what we have (which fills an 18 - 20+ pound bucket) will probably
last us for one to two years.

All that said, I am not making cloth diapering out to be the greatest
thing. In our case, cloth diapers and wipes are ideal, but that may not
be the case for others.
