[blparent] Teaching your child braille

Hi,

Why would this be a waste of anybody's time? both of my older children know
at least a little braille, Colyn started learning it at an early age because
we didn't know how much sight he had, but Remus is just interested so I've
been teaching him a little when he asks. Both my husband and I are blind so
my kids write little notes to us and braille cards and we braille our board
games etc. yes it is fun but it's useful too, and another skill they can
have and use. I know you're going to say that we can do all of this using a
computer but isn't it easier just to do it by hand?

I don't think this would be very productive. Or have no fruitful games to
your child. It might be fun to maybe interesting to learn at first, but this
is a waste of your daughters time. Please rethink his decision
