I loved Good Night Moon and the other which I still love is called "I love
you Blue Kangaroo!" Just the thought of reading it, send my daughter into
hysterics. As that is the book I took to all the classes and read.
Infact, I found it just the other day and Gab promptly took it away. Hahaha
Brown Bear Brown Bear is also a favorite, Klick Klack Moo, Giggle Giggle
Quack and Polar Polar Bear, what do you hear? Six Sandy Sheep and Green
Eggs and Ham. Just Go to Bed or Froggie's first kiss. Haha, I could also
go on forever.

Hello Gloria,

We read a ton around here, but here are some books which are our favorites.
They are also easily bought at Seedlings

http://www.seedlings.org

or National Braille Press

http://www.nbp.org

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? (Great for teaching colors,
animals, etc. I actually tried to hide this book for brief periods from my
son because he loved it so much and wanted me to read it over and over.
After about the tenth time during a day, I would try to slip it out of his
sight at naptime. Don't worry, he always found it quickly, and the reading
continued!)

Guess How Much I Love You (I love this one because it's actually about a
rabbit dad putting his rabbit son to bed and talking about how much they
love each other. So many books are about moms and their kids that I was
happy to find such a great book about a relationship between a dad and his
son.)

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

The Very Busy Spider

The Very Quiet Cricket

Touch and Feel Puppy, (Or any type of touch and feel book)

Goodnight Moon

Five Little Monkeys Jumping On the Bed

Anything by Dr. Seuss

Oh, my goodness, I could go on and on! I guess I would suggest sticking to
board books when your daughter is really little, but there is nothing wrong
with having slightly longer books that are paper that you read to her and
don't let her touch until she can be careful. There are so many wonderful
books out there. I actually received a couple of gift certificates to
Seedlings for shower gifts, which was great because many of the books I got
with those certificates have lasted through three children, and are still in
good shape.

Melissa
