I wouldn't buy too much, truthfully, because you really don't know what size
your baby is going to be. If you buy a ton of stuff in the newborn size and
have a fairly large baby, he or she will grow so fast that much of the
clothing will go barely worn. If it's going to be summer when you deliver,
a few rompers and some onesies and socks will probably be all you need. If
it will be fall, then more rompers and a few onesies will probably fit the
bill. And as far as diapers, also don't get too many in the newborn size,
in case your baby is large and already growing out of them at birth. Get a
package or two, and not all the same brand, since some babies get skin
rashes from one kind and some from another. You won't know what brand works
well for your newborn till he or she arrives. For example, Luvs were horrid
for my baby, but I knew plenty of other moms who swore by them.

kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at
evening.--Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.

Hi all,
As I have posted before, I am a first time mom. I know I shold wait until my
baby comes before I really start buying clothes, but I was wondering what
clothing items did you guys get before the baby came? I so far have bought a
few one zees, some socks, hats, a few sleepers and a few receiving blankets.
Any advice would be appriciated.
Thanks,
Gloria
