Si, it's likely your daughter will begin to realize she needs to 
communicate verbally in some way, if she hasn't already. Kahlan is 
almost fifteen months and has been saying Mamma and Dadda for quite 
some time, and she's also beginning to realize that she needs to do 
certain things with her voice to indicate that she wants something. 
When she's hungry, she says ma ma ma in a certain tone that I can't 
describe, and when she wants to give Chris or me something she'll come 
up to us, make an aaaahhh sound and show it to us by putting it on our 
hands. She just started doing that one the other day. *smiles* My point 
is that they catch on quicker than you might think that Mommy or Daddy 
can't see and need other forms of communication.
