[blparent] Question about coupons and ads

Hello,
I get onto email lists for the stores I want coupons from and print the
coupons I want to use as they come in. Otherwise, for myself I find coupon
clipping very frustrating over-all and time consuming so I shop at places
that have lower prices than most like Ikea, Coles, Old Navy and my local
grocery. I go to Trader Joe's for a lot of produce and specialty items and
they're prices are mostly very good for things you can't find anywhere else
or superior products but you've got to be careful not to get items there
that you can find cheaper at a less expensive store. I also like asking the
employee assisting me with shopping about ongoing sales and I love attacking
those discount bins some stores have like Target has. On-line shopping has
also helped a lot in saving $$ and I like to look in multiple places for
items I want. For example, Costco right now has a sale on several brands of
diapers for $6 off the regular price with free shipping for a limited time.
Another helpful source is Freemania.com where they'll send daily messages to
your inbox with links for free things from all types of venders.
Nomorerack.com is also another great place to look for items at a
significant discount and the shipping is only $2 on everything. It just
takes a little patients to go through their site but totally worth it if you
find something you like.
Happy B.Day to your little guy and happy shopping.
Erin

I have used coupons.com before, where I print out coupons to take to the
store. I had to download a small program onto my computer so the bar codes
would print. It's okay, but I don't do as much with coupons as I could.

Subject: [blparent] Question about coupons and ads
Hello,
Getting ready to celebrate Declan's first birthday on the 29th. Can't
believe it's been a year.
Okay, I have a question:
When I was sighted, I combed through daily and weekly store ads and clipped
coupons. Since losing my sight, I've found it very difficult to do this. I
like to budget shop and find deals especially when it comes to groceries,
but most of this stuff is inaccessible. And I don't have anyone in my life
whom can consistently go through ads and coupons.
I miss being able to do this, and I would love to do even more to cut back
and save a little money when shopping. How do others handle this, and what
are your suggestions, tricks and is there a way to do this stuff that's more
accessible? I've even found online ads and coupons to either not be
accessible or not provide the kind of info I'm looking for. It gets very
frustrating.
I'd appreciate any advice and suggestions.
Bridgit
