Knowing Kahlan, now that I think of it, she'd probably have them off in 
a minute. I don't know for sure, but she figured out how to undo velcro 
very quickly, so it wouldn't surprise me if she learned how to undo a 
safety pin and then stuck herself.

I do like the idea of the rattles though.

My mom may be able to sew bells into socks when we go down to visit 
her. I couldn't sew if my life depended on it! But I won't go into that 
again. :) Nice to have options.
