[blparent] People are funny

Ya, they are annoying remarks, but I've almost come to expect them from
people. Just wish I could go out front with my children without the
neighbors saying something. Not just them, but there are some who live down
the street who practicly break their necks when they drive by and see us
playing out front. One time my step son told me they were driving by and
staring, so I turned to face their car and waved and smiled. I bet that
through them for a loop. Lol.

Those remarks would annoy me, but they're probably not worth making an issue
over with your neighbors.

Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may
kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at
evening.--Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.

Hi all.

Kate got a little Strawberry Shortcake Bike from Santa this year. Yesterday
I was out front with her while she rode it up and down the side walk. It was
just her and I, as my husband couldn't handle the cold weather we're having
here in Phoenix. Smile. Anyway, my neighbor pulled up and noticed it was
just Kate and myself. He says to her "Katlyn, how can you ride your bike
with just your mom watching you? You could sneak off and she wouldn't know
it." I smiled and kindly said, "No, she knows better than that." He didn't
say anything after that. Another time that same neighbors wife saw me out
front with Dylan. He was playing with sidewalk chalk and I was setting in a
chair in the driveway. We live on the corner so I had my lawn chair at the
end up the drive way, sort of letting him know that he couldn't go past me.
My neighbor came out and asked me if I was pretending to watch him. Hmm,
people are funny aren't they? I really like my neighbors too, I guess
they'll just have to get use to me.
