[blparent] reading books with kids

So get them that way.
I'll sit with my daughter and do homework. You can tell a lot like if they
are half-assing it by the discussions you have while doing the homework.
You really need to be mentally engaged when supervising homework. That's
really the most important part.

Sometimes, you can find the texts to some books online. I've done that too
and then read along on the BrailleNote or computer. There are books you can
get that have CD's with them as well.

Along these lines, what about school work? How do you deal with doing
homework with kids? I've done a little with my niece and nephew but would
find it way more helpful if I had the materials in a readable format.

I was talking to Myriam earlier and we were talking about reading to our
children.
It made me think of situations when a blind parent cannot read, either
visually or even with Braille to their children. What avenue would one take
to overcome this dilemma?
When Gab was little, I'd take her to the library and we'd check out those
books that had a cassette tape and a print book. We'd listen together and
she'd read along.
