[blparent] Fw: [Blindtlk] blindtlk OT: Talking Baby Bottles?

Honestly, knowing exactly when each ounce is swallowed is probably not as
crucial as remembering to stop feeding and burp the baby often. I'm almost
sure that the "burp every ounce" suggestion was given out to a sighted
person by a pediatrician, and both of them could see the bottles. But the
point was surely just to stop for burping often so that the baby didn't take
in too much air and spit up the whole meal at once because a lot of people
don't take the time to pause till many ounces are swallowed and ready to be
spewed out as soon as the baby is upright.

Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may
kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at
evening.--Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.
