[blparent] Convertible Car seat

Hello,
I am looking for an inexpensive convertible car seat for my son. I would like something that is easy to install and multiple vehicles and to carry to the bus and home. I have a Graco Myride 65 That I use in my parents vehicles, but it is really heavy to carry around.
Do any of you have suggestions on how to carry a car seat, use a cane and walk with a stroller? I have thought about using a baby carrier for him.
