Hello List 

 

My name is Michelle. I'm new on here - just joined. I don't have children
yet but actively planning. 

 

Are there any parents on this list who have adopted children? I'm very
interested in adoption. Right now I'm single but I'm not limiting myself by
thinking I'll be in any one particular circumstance for the rest of my life
so feel free to share if you are a couple. It's something I've felt drawn to
for a while. I don't have any real set ideas on whether the child will be
sighted or blind just basically wanting to trust that the right child will
be the right child. If they happen to have any particular characteristics
that's fine by me. I came close to applying to adopt a blind child at one
time but that didn't work out. He went to his birth mother which to me was
the very best solution for this child anyway.

 

I'm excited to be a part of this list. Oh and by the way, I live in Canada
so if any of you are Canadians and have gone through MCFD here I'd love to
hear about your experiences.
