Oh, I get it, I was thinking the blade was in the soap and it would be darn
right slippery. (lol)

The razor is imbedded in a little oval soap thing. Sorry, I cant' 
describe it any better. lol.
You attach the soap and rasor combo to an included handle. It just clicks
right into place. and so you hold  the razor via the handle. 
Like you would a regular razor.
