Yes. And at least in my experience, the only aftereffect of the surgery is
the absence of pain. Hope all goes well for you.

Congrats on your surgery date. You've waited a long time. I'll be praying
that all goes smoothly during the operation and at home.

Well next week is the big week.
Monday we move
Thursday I go to the City for a 4 hr pre op appointment and if the docs are
saying it's 4 hrs It will undoubtedly be longer.
Next Monday is the Surgery to finally have my eye removed.
In the middle of all that you add church, conference, play groups which are
interactive with parent and child, helping my hubby navigate a new route to
work in less then 6 days so he doesn't get cabin fever, unpacking my new
apartment enough to function before I go to the hospital and so on. Oh yes
and not to mention the ample time with sitters my son will have to be with
during all of this. Poor kid he's use to having us around all the time.
Hope he handles this well. Between the move, my hospital stay and all the
babysitting I am praying he doesn't go into panic mode like he often does
when things are hectic. After all this we all need a break.
