I second that.  If it's for short periods in the middle of the day, let the
kid bang away on the drums.  Your neighbor will just have to suck it up and

Shannon, I'd also let your son play his drums. He has every right to enjoy
his home, and drums are good on so many levels. Plus, he's playing in the
middle of the day not at night.
You guys have to deal with the realities of multifamily housing, just like
the people around you.
