Seedlings provides invaluable print/braille books for small children who are blind or who have blind parents, as well as braille books for older readers. Please consider voting Seedlings in the Art Van Charity Challenge every day from now till May 30. See below e-mail for instructions.

Great news!:
Seedlings is eligible for a $10,000, $15,000, or a $25,000 grant from Art Van (a local benevolent furniture company) if we get enough online votes!
Dates for voting: Now through 11:59 pm on 5-30-13
Place: Art Van Charity Challenge site
How: Go to their site and then ...
1) Register on the Homepage
2) An email will be sent to you from info at artvancharitychallenge.com with a link. Click on a link in the email to verify your email address. Check your spam folder if you do not get the email with in 10 minutes.
3) When you click the link to verify your email address you will be sent back to artvancharitychallenge.com.
Note: You only have to register once per email address during the voting process. Once you have registered, you can skip to step 4.
4) Click the "Vote Now" button on the homepage
5) Enter login information at the bottom of page and the list of charities will pop up (they are in alphabetical order).
6) Click the check box next to Seedlings Braille Books and scroll down to the "Vote Now" button at the bottom of the page & click it.
7) You have now voted! Please do so every day through May 30th from each of your email addresses!
Additional ways to help: Encourage others to vote by sending this information to your friends, family, coworkers, listservs, and social media.
We are up against some really large organizations, but last year ... thanks to all of your help and support, we came in 3rd which garnered us a $10,000 grant. This enabled us make 1,000 more books! We thank you in advance for your support again this year!

If you haven't already done so, please take a moment to register your child or student(s) for Seedlings' Book Angel Program on Seedlings' website, or use the print form on page 60 of our 2013 catalog, or call Seedlings toll-free: 800-777-8552
The Book Angel Program is open to visually-impaired children, ages 0-21, who live in the US and Canada. Book Angel orders will be filled as time and materials allow (when we get swamped with orders, it could take a few weeks for us to fill your request). The books will be shipped "Free Matter for the Blind." This program was made possible by Seedlings' generous donors.
Seedlings has over 1,200 titles from which to chose. They range from Print-Braille-and-Picture Books for toddlers and preschoolers to best-selling novels for young adults. Please list 4 books that your child would enjoy, and we will send 2 of them (please note: due to their cost, our 3-volume books are not available through this program).
This is a great way to get some free summer reading books for your youngster. You could also purchase a few since Seedlings' books are always on sale (we sell our books for a fraction of what it costs to make them). To view the books and purchase online, go to: www.seedlings.org/order.php
