Hi Tara.
I think I know who you're talking about, but beyond that, I don't know their
names.
If it matters, my husband's uncle is in a wheelchair. His aunt isn't blind,
but if you like I can ask her if she's got anything to say.
The blindness aspect is easy, just touch your baby as often as possible, get
to know him or her and beyond all else, trust your instincts. Remember too,
other moms and grandmas can help too, you aren't the first person to go down
this road. The cool thing about Grandmas is they have adult children so they
often have some real good perspective on things that are problems and things
that are not.

Subject: [blparent] Looking for a couple in a similar situation
Hi all, a friend of mine went to the NFBK and told me about a couple she
heard of there. They were at the blind parent group meeting. The wife is
blind and the husband uses a wheelchair and they have a couple of boys. Does
anybody know about this couple and how to contact them? My husband uses a
wheelchair and I am blind. It would be nice to find a couple in a similar
situation to bounce ideas off. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please
contact me off list. Thanks Tara Briggs
