If you don't have any takers, I gave my books to the VI Program for rural schools. Just a thought. If you already have takers, I'm sure they will enjoy them.

Subject: [blparent] Clarification about Free Braille Books

I have an clarification about my offer of free braille books. Basically, it’s first come, first serve. I want to pack up a big box of books that I’ve bought over the years, mostly from Seedlings. They’re books that my daughter has outgrown that I wish to pass along to the blind parent of a younger child so that someone else can benefit from them. I’ll send the whole box out Free Matter for the Blind to whoever writes to me at jopinto at msn.com and gives me an address. That person is then free to use the books he or she wants and distribute the rest to other people or keep them all, but I really don’t have time to split up the batch into smaller orders. If someone else wants to take the whole bunch and spit it up, that would be great. Hopefully one of you braille-reading parents of little rug rats out there can start off the year with a few dozen new books and I can make some room in my house. *Smile.*

Truth is tough. It will not break, like a bubble, at a touch; nay, you may kick it about all day like a football, and it will be round and full at evening.--Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.
