  Hi, Eric!
  It's so true that kids can be the best and sweetest at cheering
people up.  Our family loves cats, so one of the first things
they do if they think I need a little cheering up is bring me a
cat for my lap.  They might also offer me a tea as I like tea and
often ask them if they want one when they are sick or down.  My
older two have also begun being good listeners when someone just
wants to talk.  My middle son is also ready with hugs.  How about
you? Do you have kids, and what's their most proven method of
lightening a glum mood?
