Erin, thanks for this resource! I ride a bike using echolocation and often
use something like this when I'm riding with someone. I've used a zap strap
too.

Subject: [blparent] Bicycle beads

Hello all,

Hope all is well and that you had a blessed Christmas and New year's with
your families!

I wanted to share a link for a product that is very helpful to all, but
especially parents with visual impairments and-or children who are visually
impaired and ride a bike. Amazon.com: Sunlite
<http://www.amazon.com/Sunlite-Bicycle-Spoke-Beads-Set/dp/B000AO9Q92>
Bicycle Spoke Beads, Set of 36: Sports ...

They are beads that go onto the spokes of a bicycle tire and they make a
great clinking sound when the bike is at slower speeds. They also come in
fun colors so they're a fun and fashionable decoration for the bike as well.
I had these on my bike when I was a kid and they were extremely helpful for
me because I could hear the sounds bouncing off of the noise these beads
were making and it would aid me in knowing how close certain things were as
I rode. My little guy Dawson is only 3 now so I have him on a ballence bike
but when he's older and transitions to a regular bike I am totally going to
use these on his bike to aid me in locating where he is. I have read
reviews from adults who use them instead of having a bell on their bike to
inform folks they're coming down the path. What an awesome invention for
all!!

Take care!

Erin
