[blparent] Breastfeeding Class

Hi, I was talking with a friend this morning about what it was like for
her to breast feed her baby. For her it was a great experience. She said
it seemed like her daughter was born knowing how to latch on. My friend is
a grandmother and her daughter has had a more difficult time. Apparently
her son has an overbite and it has taken some work getting him to latch on
right. I am enjoying reading this thread because I plan to breast feed our
baby.

Melissa, Don't worry. Breastfeeding is different from one baby to another,
and it can be tricky for moms who can and can't see. Another interesting
thing to keep in mind is that your baby isn't seeing all that well either
at first; a lot of the process for both of you will be tactile. I agree
with Rebecca: Let the teacher know you're flustered and could use more
explanation.
