[blparent] shoes

I also agree no shoes until they are walking is best.  
We have a shoe basket right inside our front door so as we walk into the house we all take our shoes off and place them in the basket.  I always know where the shoes are and they are out of the middle of the floor so I don't trip on them. This works most of the time but there are always a few times a week that the shoes don't gety put in the basket so as I'm cleaning up I put them in the basket.  When my kids weren't old enough to take care of their own shoes I would take them off for them when we got home.
