Hi.
You are probably thinking of Gogobabies and Gogokids.
Amazon sells both of these products.
Umbrella strollers suck. The baby must have excellent head control in order to use them. Also you have no storage capacity.
I use an Ergo baby carrier also.
Really all this will come down to you and your baby way more then blindness. The things you'll need are a carseat, a place to put the baby down and a place to change diapers. I do this on a low dresser with a mirror. The mirror provides great entertainment for my baby, and the dresser is the perfect height. It also has drawers for clothes.
Remember you can always buy things you will need when you need them. You can't be totally prepared when you have the baby. So long as you have food for the baby, diapers, a safe place to put the baby down and a carseat, that's all you'll need to start out with. That and a lot of love. I should have put the love thing first.

Subject: [blparent] car seats and strollers recommendations

Dear Collective Wisdom:

I am starting to write a list of things we are going to need when our baby comes in July. I am wondering if anyone has any good recommendations for car seats and strollers. As far as a car seat goes, I would like something that is easy to work and can easily be moved from my car to someone else’s.
Are there car seats that have a handle that comes out and the car seat can be pulled? I thought I heard of that somewhere but it could be wishful thinking on my part. I have heard an umbrella stroller is best for when the baby gets older. Are there any other things you found essential as a blind parent?

Thanks

Tara
