Subject: [blparent] braille compas and buying and selling braille and
otherequipment

I remember that the Matilda Ziegler Magazine used to have a
section where people could put announcements in for items they
were looking for or selling. That magazine no longer exists, but
are there any other sites or publications where you can advertize
that you're looking for a braille compass? Sometimes people like
to give away or sell things they don't really use any more as
they age or their interests change. I know I would really love
to have one of those old wooden Scrabble boards with the "waffle"
type letter slots and braille tiles. I like the old set much
better than the new ones they sell with the plastic boards
because the tiles stayed in better and the braille on the tiles
felt clearer and nicer on my fingers than in the new sets, and
from time to time, I would like to get rid of or buy things that
may be used and for a better price. Good luck with the braille
compass! I'll let you know if I hear of one somewhere.
     Dawn
