[blparent] Accessible ways to track diaper changing, feeding, etc.

I just kept track of it in my head and let the nurses know based on memory,
which worked better for some of them than others. There was a log at the
hospital, but I didn't bother to fill it out or have my sighted husband do
so. A few of the nurses were worried about it; the rest weren't. Once I
got home, I pretty much never thought about writing anything down anymore.
My daughter and I worked out our own routine.

Hi,

I never tracked any of this information unless it had been requested by a
doctor. Unless there's an issue with feeding it's not necessary to do so.
But if I needed to I'd have used a memo app on my phone or dictated it into
notes, or used notepad if my windows pc was closest. the tracking apps for
such things are really not helpful for us but might be for your doctor if
there are fraphs etc.

Hello Everyone,

Allison and I realize that we need to be able to log and track several
important metrics, such as diapers and feeding. Of course, in our
new-born care class, the instructor described writing this information
into a log, which obviously does nothing for us.

We wish to be able to log and effectively use this information in a
way that works best for us, while reasonably accommodating the needs
of sighted hospital staff.

I tried the tracking tools found in the Baby Connect and My Baby Today
iOS apps, but found them inaccessible.

I would be interested in learning how all of you have tracked critical
baby-related metrics in an accessible manner.

Thanks,

Darrell
