Dianna,

The maps you saw were probably from the American Printing House for the Blind in Louisville.  They tend to have a lot of the products used in public 
schools because schools get some federal funds to buy products and the American Printing House for the Blind is the designated entity to handle these 
funds.  Unfortunately, the ability to use those funds, called Quota Funds, won't apply in your case but you can still purchase the products.  Their web site is

They may have the raised globe as well, I do not remember for certain.  If they don't, someone in our Independence Market may know if we have one or 
who might.
