[blparent] Babysitting others kids

I'm not going to do it. I found out in my state I have to be licensed. I know other people may do it all the time, but I'm not going to take that risk. I texted the mother a few hours ago and told her I couldn't do it. I haven't heard back from her.
Another reason I'm not going to do it is because it's summer time and this may sound selfish, but I'm going to take my son out and do a lot of fun things. We just moved here and i'm ready to go explore the new area.
Thank you everyone for your advice.

Will she expect you to provide diapers and formula and food while her children are in your care or will she provide for them? $100 doesn't go a very long way when it has to be used for the actual babysitting itself. And most importantly, will babysitting other people's kids for the majority of the day exhaust you to the point that you can't enjoy your own son for the rest of the day? I love kids but sometimes my own are enough for me, so the last thing I'd want to do is take on somebody else's, paid or not.

I was told that she wasn't so much worried about the three-year-old as the two-month-old. She is worried because she doesn't know how someone who can't see can take care of a child that small. I explained that I do things a little bit differently but I can still do it. I mean, look at my almost 3-year-old little boy! Who do you think took care of him? I don't know if I'm going to babysit these kids because I haven't heard from the mother. I also don't know if it's worth it because I have to get up at 4:30 AM and they would be here until 3:30 PM. She would only pay $100 per week. Not for each kid, just flat $100. It would be four days a week.
