It is important to remember that children this age will do a lot more side
by side play, rather than actually playing together. It does not mean they
do not like each other or anything like that. 

A ball is one of my favorite toys for kids this age.

Try to prepare as much ahead of time for this visit. Once you have some
experience with this other child and the interaction between the two you
will be able to relax, but on the first visit or two I would not plan to be
getting anything besides basic child care and entertainment accomplished.

There is no shame in having to turn on the television for a short interval
if you have something come up. That something may just include going to the
bathroom alone. :)
