[blparent] Tips on parenting a toddler and a newborn.

Right, that was my take too, the question
read as if you'd woken up and found out you were pregnant and delivering
next week. If that's what happened (and it nearly did to me due to a bunch
of circumstances) that's fine, just say that's what's going on. You also
need to tell us what you're concerns are and what your setup was. I had a
friend who gave me lots of advice which was predicated on having an au pair,
as that's what she had. She had no concept of being the sole adult life form
in the house. When I was working, I had a woman give me advice that all
boiled down to "get your husband to..." If my husband could have given birth
for me, I'm sure she would have told me to "get him" to do that.

I have only one child, so this isn't my area of expertise. But I'm
wondering what sort of advice you are looking for. Time management?
Transportation logistics? Resource delegation? Help for the older child
who needs to get used to the new baby? It would help to know what you have
thought through and what you are questioning, I guess, or where you are in
the planning process, since the way the question sounded was kind of like
you woke up this morning and said, "Oh my God, I'm pregnant and delivering
next week! What should I do?"

Hi, I am confused by your answer. It is my understanding that the blind
parent list is a networking list of people who are parents who are blind. On
this list, we come up with ideas and solutions for how we can successfully
parent without site. In addition, we try and support each other. Obviously,
I thought things through before I became pregnant. However, I was hoping to
find blind parents who have had a similar situation and could help me with
some things that worked for them. This list has been extremely helpful in

the past. I want to thank anyone who sends me some ideas or advice for what
has worked for them.
Tara
