[blparent] Tips on parenting a toddler and a newborn.

I run a licensed daycare, and I'm a licensed foster parent. This means many children that are young together. Make sure you have one room that you can leave your toddler in without you where you know there is absolutely nothing she can get into that will hurt her. Make sure you have a place to put your baby that your toddler can't get when you need to leave the room. If you haven't already found a baby carrier to wear your newborn you might want to look into that so that you can continue to do the things with your toddler you have always done. Tried to get your newborn on a slightly different schedule than your toddler you don't want to be trying to feed your newborn why your toddler is demanding to eat lunch. Build a support system for when you need help. :-) Most of all love your babies and just take each turtle one day at a time. You can do it!

On this list, we come up with ideas and solutions for how we can successfully parent without site. In addition, we try and support each other. Obviously, I thought things through before I became pregnant. However, I was hoping to find blind parents who have had a similar situation and could help me with some things that worked for them. This list has been extremely helpful in the past. I want to thank anyone who sends me some ideas or advice for what has worked for them.
