I used to be a part of La Leche League when the girls were little, and they 
always stressed you can never spoil kids with too much closeness, that they 
will spread their wings when they are ready in all stages.

We all love hugging and cuddling, and no matter how angry or frustrated
we get, we never withhold hugs. She knows she can always hug us. I
think sometimes she forgets though, because a couple of times we sent
her for bed time or nap time and she started to cry because she thought
we weren't going to give her hugs.
