			Go scope out Piegon Forge.
There are viewing parties all over the place, many sponsored at libraries,
the NASA web site has some real good info.
You can probably just park at the motel and see it. I'm not sure any spot
will be better then any other when you granulate down to the Greenville
level.

The Eclipse is why we are going to drive south. So far we are planning to
stay near Greenville. But I still need to figure out where would be best
spot to observe the eclipse. We are not interested much at crowds, we
wanted just a place where we could hang out for few hours and get parking.
Parking may be a problem I'm guessing. So far I booked a hotel for one
night near Greenville and no idea where to go from there to see the eclipse.

And I said in the previous post, I need to create a family trip back home
north. From Greenville back to Maryland. My husband likes nature stuff, and I
know my son will be excided too.

I did a quick Google scan and found three or four Web sites without trying
hard at all. The sites listed easy day hikes along established trails that
would take families to various waterfalls in the park. You could choose
hikes of different lengths, depending on how much you wanted to sweat. I
just googled, "Great Smoky Mountains National Park" and "Easy Hikes" and
"Waterfalls." You might also Google "Natural Attractions" "Greenville" and
"Cherokee" and see what you get. Good luck!

Hi,

We are planning a car trip from Maryland to Greenville, South Carolina.
When we are returning back home, we'd like to spend some time exploring
Smoky mountains national park. Here are the

Questions

1. My son is 4 year old, and I'm a mom using a white cane and
husband's arm while hiking. What are the trails/cynic overlooks/ water falls
would be manageable for such a company of people? We would do under a mile
hikes if it's easy or moderate. Any nice swim holes/lakes in the area?
Water falls with a shallow entrance, not necessarily swimmable?

2. Any of all of that natural attractions I mentioned above we can
find on the way to Smoky, between Greenville and Cherokee?

Thanks, all sagestions will be great, since I'm not familiar with the area.

Tatyana.
