During back-to-school season, it's important to realize that a
successful academic experience is largely in the hands of the student.
For college students, newfound independence can make the journey more
difficult unless they master the art of organization and establish
their place in their new environment.  Here are 5 tips for
back-to-school success in college.

1.	Time management is imperative.  "We recommend that students
utilize a smart phone or a planner to remind them of deadlines, study
sessions, and personal engagements," said Sally Delgado, Enrollment
Specialist for Morton College.  "It's easy for students to miscalculate
travel, study, and project completion times.  Balancing multiple
responsibilities takes time to develop, but using available tools will
keep students prepared and on task."
