December Conference Call For Blind Parents: The NFB Blind Parents Group is hosting a conference call on Monday, December 3 at 9:00 PM Eastern, 8:00 Central, 7:00 Mountain, and 6:00 Pacific Time. This month, we will be discussing concerns faced by blind parents during the holiday season. Will you be seeing family members during the holidays who have negative misconceptions about blindness or your ability to parent? Are you looking for ways to get more involved in your child’s school to help with holiday celebrations or to volunteer your help with your church’s Christmas pageant? Perhaps you’re new to vision loss and you’re looking to learn some strategies for holiday shopping? 

Discussion will be led by three blind moms with lots of experience navigating these and other issues during the holiday season. Stacy Cervenka is the Chair of the NFB Blind Parents Group. Melissa Lehman Riccobono is the Coordinator of the NFB Blind Parents Initiative. And Nicole D Fincham-Shehan is the Coordinator of the NFB of Florida Blind Parent Initiative.
