[blparent] Recommendations for baby carriers

Leslie and all,

I tried to respond to this thread sooner but was unable to because for some
reason sending email was blocked while I was traveling in Washington DC.
The response to which you are referring did not strike me as not respecting
the values of someone else, although I can see where one might think that is
the case if one read the response literally.  I think we do need to respect
one another's opinions for our decisions, but I did not see disrespect being
expressed in this case.  For example, my interpretation was that Amanda was
looking for affirmation that spending the money for a more expensive carrier
was not out of line.  In other words, I could easily have said the same
thing with no intention of disrespecting her financial choices.  I hope that
others feel as I do that we generally have a pretty supportive environment
here and I have confidence we can keep it that way.

Hi everyone. I'm not the moderator but feel I need to say something here.  I
think it's important for us to remember  to respect each other's reasons of
why we do things. For example, it's really nobody else's business why a list
member doesn't want to spend too much out of baby carrier. That member's
finamcial situation  is what it is. And as a community, we all need to
respect that. This list, after all, is for supporting each other and
sharing information.  Just a friendly reminder to keep these two things in
mind when we post. Be safe out there and stay warm.
