Great news!

The Kindle edition of my new book, "Daddy Won't Let Mom Drive the Car: True Tales of Parenting in the Dark," is now available on Amazon.

The book is endorsed by Stacy Cervenka, Director of Public Outreach at the American Foundation for the Blind; Holly Bonner, who owns and writes for the Blind Motherhood blog, and Lisamaria Martinez, who operates the Blind Parents Connect Group for the National Federation of the Blind.

"Daddy Won't Let Mom Drive the Car" is made up of thirty-seven short vignettes detailing a few of my adventures as the blind mom of a sighted school age child. Many of the stories are lighthearted; a few are more serious. My hope is that, in addition to bringing humor and inspiration to blind and sighted parents alike, the book will educate legislators, social workers, and other relevant professionals who work with diverse parent populations. By showing that blindness changes a few minor logistics without touching the deeper, more important aspects of family life, my goal is to advance equal parental rights for disabled moms and dads across the United States.
